Thomas and I go to CALI!

So this was the summer that we were able to rent the beach house in oxnard. So Thomas and I bought a fly and off we were to Cali. Sadly Luke wasn't able to come. Its really never the same without him. We were joined by Derek and Lindsay and their 2 kiddums, Ryan and Sara-Beth and there 5 kiddums and Dad, Karie, and Austin, and of course the Hunters were the gracious hosts. It was so so fun, as always. We spent the week at the beachhouse and did lots of hanging on the beach, shopping, and plenty of eating. It was great!

This is Ella and Kade feeding Thomas, he wasn't sure how he felt about it. He's border line going to cry. haha.

And Kade giving Thomas some snuggles at the Beach. Kade sure loves Thomas and Thomas sure loves Kade.
Thomas bundled up and having a snooze in the shade. haha. He can seriously sleep anywhere.
Grandma Karie and Thomas testing out the water. It was freezing in case you were wondering.
Haha. Trying to have a drink of soda!!!
Playing with Rosie. He loved playing with her.
More Thomas and Rose.
Thomas and Uncle Austin in Ojai after our big swimming day.
Thomas was super frustrated with the popsicle. He wanted to hold it, but it made his hands cold and it made him cry, but he didn't want me to hold it for him. haha. so stubborn so young.
He LOVES water. he sat in that swimming thing for so long. He just floated and splashed. So cute.
Grandpa Baldry's 60th birthday party and some of the grandkids their to celebrate it with him

The girls went to a play at the pantages. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called but it was really good.

Needless to say cali was awesome as always. We were able to stay and be there for Carson's baptism also. It was great. He is a great little boy. Such a good example to his friends and family. Thanks hunters again for another fabulous adventure. Thomas loves his time with his california cousins, and so do I.

Girls Trip to Vancouver!

So one weekend in Nanaimo all us ladies decided we would walk onto the ferry and go tour around Vancouver. Well the day started a little slow. We aimed to get on the 830 Ferry, but were 2 minutes late so we had to wait until the 1030 ferry. haha. We started off great eh? haha. So we eventually boarded the ferry and kind of just hoped that everything would go good. And it did. We found the first bus that would take us down to Robson street and from then on it was a party!
This is Thomas and I on Robson Street! We finally made it! There is tons of good shopping. We didn't even touch the surface.
This is a crazy car. A man spent alot of his time decorating this fancy bug. There was everything you could imagin glued to this crazy thing. The man just sat behind us and listened to us admire his work of art. It was hilarious.

We found Stanley Park. It was beautiful. We loved it. Such a fun place. Wish I had more time to explore.
Thomas and I along the walkway.

And this is my little gaffer all tuckered out. haha. Isn't he the sweetest!!! I love this picture.

Coombs!

This was the cutest little town. I had heard from numerous people that we HAD to go to Coombs! They would say it's this little village with goats on the roof! haha! Which doesn't sound that cool, but I am so glad we went there, and I took my sister and her family there when they came and they LOVED it too!!

This is the middle of the village. They just have random statues all over. It's hilarious! We got a kick out of quite a few of them. The Buddha on the Left was my personal favorite.

Thomas was sleeping so he missed out on the picture!

So here it is! GOATS ON ROOF! hahaha. They really do just wander around on the roof and munch away! It hilarious.
Inside this little building is the cutest little grocery store and gift shop. It was filled with neat little toys!
Us and the Hunters thoroughly enjoying our coombs icecream!! So delicious!
The little goat home.
The kids chillin in the coombs taxi.

All us wives trying to cram ourselves in the little Taxi. Behind us is the BEST fudge shop. It was so so so good. MMM it's making my mouth water just thinking about it.
Doesn't that just look like the cutest little town!! It is for sure a must see here on the island. If not for the cute little village, or the goats on the roof, definitely get there for the ice cream and delicious fudge!

Crab Fishing!

Since being here in Nanaimo we have become professional crab fishers!! haha. At least we think so. We had seen a bunch of people fishing so we asked them how we could do it, and it was simple! We went and bought a net, a license and the oldest chicken we could find. We had a place that we thought might be perfect. haha. Not so much. Not a crab to be found.
The very first cast!
Just waiting for some crab to crawl in the nets
Then we moved to a second location, and we hit the jackpot!!!! I think we ended up with 3 delicious crabs.

And here we are enjoying the delicious feast. Let me tell you they were the best thing I've eaten. Well worth the hard work of catching them, and breaking them apart to eat them. Oh my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I sure am going to miss this place!!!!!

newcastle

A couple of weeks ago Me, Thomas and a couple of other wives went on a ferry, well more like a dingy, to an island we can see from the harbor. It's called Newcastle Island. It's awesome. No one lives on the island. It's just a beautiful trail that goes around the island. There is lots of camping, and one little store/restaurant. It's amazing. One side of the island you can see the bc mainland, and the other side you can see the harbor.

Me and Thomas waiting for our ferry to come take us back to nanaimo! The background is the Nanaimo harbor.
Me, Thomas, Bailey, Steph, and Bristol enjoying the scenic walk. These strollers are all terrain I tell ya!
A totem pole on the island.
Bailey and Thomas riding the ferry!
Haha! our ferry to the island! talk about small! haha. It was awesome!

Pipers Lagoon!
Here is a few pictures of us at Pipers Lagoon. It is this really fun place just a few minutes from our house. It's along the ocean so if you go when the tide is low you can find all sorts of fun stuff. We've gone there a few different times. We love that place. You can find starfish, and little crabs. Lots of times you can see seals out in the water. It is a beautiful place to visit! We love it.

The girls looking in little tide pools seeing what we can find.
We found PURPLE starfish! crazy! I always thought they were orange!
The beautiful view. It's an awesome place at sunset!!!!

Auntie Brett came for a visit!

For the next 4 months Luke, Thomas and I live in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. We live in Nanaimo, BC. And we were lucky enough to have aunt Brett drive me and Thomas out here and they she stayed for the week. And these are just a few of the many amazing things we got to see while she was here.
This was a place called Little Qualicum Falls! The first is the lower and the next is the upper falls. They were amazing. The hike was so fun and Thomas has been loving all of the fresh air.

Aren't they MASSIVE! I mean I know their no Niagra, but they beautiful!
Thomas just enjoying every minute of it! Isn't he the cutest!

Here is us in Tofino! It apparently rains there a lot! I have since received a fabulous rain jacket from my wonderful husband. Here is us were the transcanada ends.... we think.
Me and Brett ran out to an island that was for sale incase there are any takers out there. This beach was called chesterman and it had waves coming in on both sides of the beach. Crazy. How often do you see something like that.

This was Amonite Falls. Don't ask us how we got there, we were going in circles. It is supposedly a 20 minute hike it took us like 4 hours. haha. Good thing we have oodles of time here.

This is on the drive out we found the langley temple and went for a visit. They had beautiful tulips all over. It was gorgeous. Everything about bc is just amazing. I love this place.
Thomas having so much fun with his aunt Brett!
That was all the stuff we saw in just one week. Since me and the other wives have seen tons of other amazing place. I hope I entice you all to come out for a visit!
