Coombs!

This was the cutest little town. I had heard from numerous people that we HAD to go to Coombs! They would say it's this little village with goats on the roof! haha! Which doesn't sound that cool, but I am so glad we went there, and I took my sister and her family there when they came and they LOVED it too!!

This is the middle of the village. They just have random statues all over. It's hilarious! We got a kick out of quite a few of them. The Buddha on the Left was my personal favorite.

Thomas was sleeping so he missed out on the picture!

So here it is! GOATS ON ROOF! hahaha. They really do just wander around on the roof and munch away! It hilarious.
Inside this little building is the cutest little grocery store and gift shop. It was filled with neat little toys!
Us and the Hunters thoroughly enjoying our coombs icecream!! So delicious!
The little goat home.
The kids chillin in the coombs taxi.

All us wives trying to cram ourselves in the little Taxi. Behind us is the BEST fudge shop. It was so so so good. MMM it's making my mouth water just thinking about it.
Doesn't that just look like the cutest little town!! It is for sure a must see here on the island. If not for the cute little village, or the goats on the roof, definitely get there for the ice cream and delicious fudge!

Crab Fishing!

Since being here in Nanaimo we have become professional crab fishers!! haha. At least we think so. We had seen a bunch of people fishing so we asked them how we could do it, and it was simple! We went and bought a net, a license and the oldest chicken we could find. We had a place that we thought might be perfect. haha. Not so much. Not a crab to be found.
The very first cast!
Just waiting for some crab to crawl in the nets
Then we moved to a second location, and we hit the jackpot!!!! I think we ended up with 3 delicious crabs.

And here we are enjoying the delicious feast. Let me tell you they were the best thing I've eaten. Well worth the hard work of catching them, and breaking them apart to eat them. Oh my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I sure am going to miss this place!!!!!
